This performance breathes Black Joy. Four Dutch women, different backgrounds, different stages of life, but one shared strength: Black Joy. With humour, sharpness and vulnerability, they share their stories – relatable and unfiltered. Together they embody a new voice in Dutch theatre and show Black Joy in its many forms and colours. They form their own community in which diversity and togetherness go hand in hand. On stage, a space emerges where personal stories meet music, dance and humour. Here, pride is celebrated and resilience becomes tangible. Their message is clear: our joy is our protest.

BLACK JOY is a performance for everyone curious about stories they don’t hear every day.
