JOB DESCRIPTION

Festival Centre

• You help set the tone of the experience in the festival centre in the VIERNULVIER café and support the team in putting together the programme
• You keep an overview of the programme and help with the creation of the call sheets
• You maintain contact between different partners, artists and guide them in the (technical) set-up and during the event
• Together with the team, you plan the closing party and take on part of the production work for it

Volunteer coordinator

• You follow up the open call for volunteers and maintain contact with everyone
• You draw up the planning and contracts and communicate this to the volunteers
• You organise a meeting in August and a closing event on the last day of the festival
• You prepare briefings and receive the volunteers at the start of their shift

General

• Helping with the preparation of scripts and catering schedules
• Participating in (production) meetings
• You communicate with the different theatres and prepare the arrival of the artists and crew logistically
• Together with the team, you do shifts in the reception, box office and guest list on location

PRACTICAL

• You are eager to learn, but are also proactive, like to share your own opinion and dare to apply your knowledge
• As the right hand of the production manager, you are willing to work independently, but also enjoy working in a team
• You can work evenings and weekends during the festival in Ghent and provide overnight accommodation during the festival itself

SUPER PRACTICAL

• You are 18+ and think it’s time to gain real-life experience in the world of festival production
• The internship is unpaid and can be done voluntarily or as part of a training course
• It is possible to do an internship between 1 July and 14 September 2025. The specific duration can be mutually agreed upon
• You can work part-time (3/5) or full-time
