Le moment annuel de se retrouver en tant que secteur des arts du spectacle au début d’une nouvelle saison culturelle ! Le State of the Union et State of the Youth, festif et critique, étant derrière nous, les conversations démarrent traditionnellement très vite.

Nous sommes très heureux d’accueillir le cofondateur de la compagnie théâtrale palestinienne Ashtar Theatre 𝐈𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐀𝐨𝐮𝐧 le 5 septembre en tant qu’orateur du State of the Union et l’artiste multidisciplinaire 𝐋𝐨𝐮𝐜𝐤𝐚 𝐅𝐢𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐧 pour le State of the Youth.

Après les états, les prix d’acteur seront remis. Avec le soutien d’ArtistsUnited, Het TheaterFestival et De Acteursgilde unissent leurs forces pour élargir les prix décernés aux acteurs. Désormais, le jury de Het TheaterFestival établira une liste de présélection sur laquelle les membres de Acteursgilde voteront.

Tout le monde est le bienvenu, les réservations sont obligatoires.

THE STATE OF THE YOUTH SPEAKER / Loucka Elie Fiagan

Loucka Elie Fiagan’s practice is at the intersection of poetry, dance, music and video. As a remarkable multidisciplinary artist he co-founded the performative duo wedntknwyet with Oscar Cassamajor, created the JAN a collective organisation that supports creatives, is member of the publishing house le Mot:Lame and composes and performs abstract hip hop music under the name SVDU.

THE STATE OF THE UNION SPEAKER / IMAN AOUN

In 1991 Iman Aoun co-founded ASHTAR Theatre – the first theatre school for youth in Palestine – and has been instrumental in training, directing and devising many productions. She is an internationally recognized theatre trainer who specializes in the Theatre of the Oppressed techniques, and is well known for her use of theatre as a tool for change both locally and internationally. Her vision in creating a better world through theatre had led her to create many world recognized projects and significant initiatives such as ‘The Gaza Monologues’ in 2010 – a documentary theatre performance based on the personal stories and testimonies of a group of children from Gaza.
