Join our TheaterFestival Editorial Team 2025

Do you feel the itch to write, create audio, or conduct interviews with theater makers and audiences? Do you want to dive behind the scenes of the festival that celebrates the finest of the Flemish and Brussels theater scene? Then this is your chance.

We are looking for writers, illustrators, and audio creators who want to join our editorial team this summer (first two weeks of July) and during the TheaterFestival in Ghent (September 3 to 13). Together with an enthusiastic group of peers, you will create interviews, reviews, podcasts, reports, and Q&As with artists. Your work will appear on our blog, in the festival magazine, on our podcast channels, and at the festival locations themselves.

Text & Illustration editorial team

Work on the magazine during the summer and report during the festival in September. You will receive guidance from writer and editor Sixtine Bérard.

Audio editorial team

Work on a podcast series in the summer and create (live) audio reports during the festival in September. You will be coached by audio creator Hannah Lyssens.


WHEN WILL YOU GET STARTED?

Text & Image editorial team

The first period for the text and image editorial team takes place during the first two weeks of July in Brussels or Ghent. During this period, editorial meetings will be held on the following dates:

  • Tuesday, July 1
  • Saturday, July 5
  • Monday, July 7
  • Tuesday, July 8

The second period runs from Wednesday, September 3 through Saturday, September 13. This takes place in Ghent.

Audio Editorial Team

The first period for the audio editorial team also takes place during the first two weeks of July in Brussels or Ghent. During this period, live editorial meetings are scheduled on:

  • Tuesday, July 1
  • Tuesday, July 8

The second period for the audio editorial team also runs from Wednesday September 3 through Saturday September 13 and takes place in Ghent.


HOW TO APPLY?

Fill in this Google form by Friday June 6 2025 at 20:00. We will create a varied and enthusiastic editorial team from all submissions. You will be notified by June 11 whether you have been selected.
