Jury 2025
The program of the TheaterFestival is selected annually by a diverse and multi-voiced jury composed of theater critics, dramaturges, and cultural professionals from a variety of backgrounds. This jury selects the most significant performances of the past season, with particular attention to artistic quality, social relevance, and innovation.
WijkJury
Since 2024, the professional jury has been joined in their search by the WijkJury’s of Antwerp, Brussels, and Ghent. Each WijkJury consists of around ten residents from diverse backgrounds, most of whom had little prior exposure to theater, along with a WijkBuddy who guides them through the performing arts landscape of their city. Together, each jury attended around ten performances over the course of the year and selected their favorite piece, which is also included in the programme of the festival.
